The result moved Denver to 2-1, while the Rams fell to 1-2.

Rams Take Control Early

Los Angeles opened the game strongly. Matthew Stafford connected with Tyler Higbee for a 5-yard touchdown on the Rams' opening scoring drive.

Harrison Mevis then added three field goals in the first half, from 36, 35 and 40 yards, giving Los Angeles a 16-0 advantage at halftime.

The Rams also moved the ball efficiently during the first half. They finished the game with 482 total yards, including 366 passing yards and 116 rushing yards.

Broncos Answer With a 16-Point Third Quarter

Denver's offense finally came alive after halftime.

Bo Nix threw a 5-yard touchdown pass to Pat Bryant and then connected with Jaylen Waddle for a successful two-point conversion. Nix later found Nate Adkins for an 8-yard touchdown, followed by another successful two-point conversion to Bryant.

Those two touchdown drives brought Denver all the way back to 16-16 entering the fourth quarter.

Wild Fourth Quarter Changes the Game

The Rams briefly regained control when Mevis kicked a 48-yard field goal to put Los Angeles ahead 19-16.

Then came one of the game's biggest turning points.

With 4:49 remaining, Stafford's pass intended for Kyren Williams was intercepted by Talanoa Hufanga, who returned it 66 yards for a touchdown. The play gave Denver its first lead of the game at 23-19.

Los Angeles responded immediately. Stafford found Konata Mumpfield for a 48-yard touchdown, putting the Rams back in front 26-23 with 3:38 remaining.

Denver then put together the decisive drive.

Nix moved the Broncos 65 yards on 10 plays, including completions of 39 and 21 yards. With 47 seconds remaining, he scored on a 1-yard rushing touchdown to put Denver ahead 30-26.

Hufanga Seals the Broncos' Win

The Rams still had an opportunity to answer.

Stafford drove Los Angeles to the Denver 14-yard line, but after a false-start penalty moved the ball back, the Rams faced a difficult final play.

Hufanga intercepted Stafford's pass in the end zone, his second interception of the night, ending the comeback attempt and securing Denver's 30-26 victory.

Hufanga finished with two interceptions, including the 66-yard pick-six, as well as a sack, a tackle for loss, a quarterback hit and three pass breakups.

Matthew Stafford and Davante Adams Put Up Big Numbers

Despite the loss, Stafford produced a large statistical game.

He completed 30 of 55 passes for 390 yards and two touchdowns, but also threw two interceptions.

Davante Adams was the Rams' leading receiver with seven catches for 137 yards. With Puka Nacua again unavailable because of a hip injury, Adams handled a significant portion of the Rams' passing workload.

Konata Mumpfield also made a major impact, recording four receptions for 93 yards and a 48-yard touchdown.

Bo Nix Leads Denver's Comeback

Nix completed 17 of 34 passes for 186 yards and two touchdowns, while adding 7 rushing yards and the decisive rushing touchdown.

Denver's passing attack produced 179 net passing yards, while the Broncos added 78 rushing yards. The Broncos also finished with four touchdowns compared with two for Los Angeles.

The Broncos overcame their slow start despite being outgained substantially. Los Angeles finished with 482 total yards compared with Denver's 257, but Denver's defense produced two interceptions and the Broncos converted all three of their red-zone opportunities.
